To implement the spirit of the province-wide science and technology conference, establish a robust communication bridge between universities and enterprises, collaboratively advance industry-academia-research collaborative innovation, and vigorously promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements—thereby leveraging technological innovation to drive innovation in the magnesite industry and supporting Liaoning's new breakthroughs in revitalization through the high-quality development of the magnesite industry cluster—on December 3, the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Service Center, jointly with the Liaoyang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the CPC Committee and Government of Taizihe District in Liaoyang City, and the Management Committee of Liaoyang Economic Development Zone, successfully hosted the "Liaoning Magnesite Industry High-Quality Development Science and Technology Achievement Promotion Conference" in Liaoyang City. The event was co-organized by the Liaoning Boshi Low-Carbon Industry Technology Innovation Research Institute, the Environmental Engineering Branch of the Liaoning Provincial Society of Mechanical Engineering, the Liaoyang Industrial Technology Research Institute of Shenyang University of Technology, and the School of Chemical Equipment at Shenyang University of Technology.

This conference showcased our province's scientific and technological achievements in the magnesite industry, outlined the future development of the sector, and highlighted key information on enterprise needs. Chen Dongsheng, Director of the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Service Center; Zang Ximin, Vice President of Shenyang University of Technology; Shi Yanli, Party Secretary and Director of the Liaoyang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau; and Jiang Shufeng, Executive Director of the Liaoyang Economic Development Zone, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Attendees included leading representatives from Shenyang University of Technology, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, the Dashiqiao Magnesite Association, the Environmental Protection Engineering Branch of the Liaoning Provincial Mechanical Industry Association, and the Liaoyang Institute of Industrial Technology, as well as representatives from numerous provincial enterprises based in Dalian City, Haicheng City, and Dashiqiao City.

The conference invited four distinguished experts—Professors Zang Ximin, Wang Guosheng, Yang Lu, and Wang Dexi—to present their cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements. Meanwhile, seven industry experts—including Kong Lingxu, Secretary-General of the Dashiqiao Limestone Magnesia Association; Zhou Bin, Chief Engineer of Haicheng Huayu Group; Zhang Yunbo, General Manager and Chief Engineer of Yingkou Mayuan Technology Co., Ltd.; Li Linshan, Chief Engineer of Yingkou Yijia Magnesium Industry Co.; Nie Bohua, Chief Engineer of Liaoning Fucheng Refractory Materials (Group) Co., Ltd.; Mu Zhuoyi, General Manager of Yingkou Yifan Co., Ltd.; and Li Lijun, Director of the R&D Center at Dalian Yatai Technology New Materials Co., Ltd.—shared insights on industry trends and supply-chain needs. Additionally, Shenyang University of Technology showcased its latest technology breakthroughs. During the event, these experts engaged in meaningful discussions and exchanges with corporate representatives from various sectors, exploring new opportunities for collaboration and jointly charting a course toward high-quality development of the magnesia-based industrial cluster.

This event successfully established a bridge connecting scientific and technological achievements from universities with enterprises. Chen Dongsheng, Director of the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Service Center, expressed his hope that this matchmaking activity would serve as a catalyst to collaboratively explore new avenues of cooperation with universities, associations, and industry leaders—both domestically and internationally—while innovating partnership models. By fostering collaborative innovation among academia, research institutions, and industry, the initiative aims to accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological breakthroughs, thereby empowering next-generation productivity.
